'내 코가 석자' meaning   ' I've got bigger fish to fry '

The expression is used to describe a situation where one's own business is so urgent and difficult that one cannot afford to help others.

내 사덩이 급하고 어려워서 남을 돌볼 여유가없다는 뜻의 속담

- 내 = 나의 = My

- 코 = Nose

- 석자 =  fry

- '자'는 약 30cm

- '석자'는 약 1m

Example:

가: 웬만하면 한니씨를 좀 도와주지 그랬어. 내일까지 과제를 끝내야 한다던데.

나: 나도 내 코가 석 자라 승규를 도와줄 시간이 없어.

If possible, I would have helped Hanni a little. They said I have to finish my homework by tomorrow.

I also don't have time for Hanni's help as my nose is growing.
