- (으) 며

→ It is a connective ending added to a stem of a verb or an adjective meaning 'listing more than two facts or getting done two actions or conditions at the same time.' It is usually used in a formal or literary style.

Example:

1. 형은 침착하고 성실하며, 동생은 활발하고 사교적이다.

     My elder brother is calm and sincere, and my younger brother is active and sociable.

2. 그 사람이 말없이 떠나며 내게 주고 간 물건이 있어요.
    He left me something without saying.

3. 오며 가며 이것저것 집어 먹어서 그런지 배가 안 고파요.

     I am not hungry after eating this and that once in a while.

4. 그는 손을 흔들며​비행기에 올랐어요.

    He waved his hand onto the plane.

5. 기회가 있으면 오겠다고 하며 떠났어요.

    If there is an opportunity to say that you will come but go away

6. 남자 친구가 반지를 깨워주며 청혼을 했어요.

    My boyfriend wore a ring and asked me to marry him.
