→ It is used after a noun or a past modifier '-(으)ㄴ'or '던,' and it means that 'after a long time or when a difficult procedure is done, the result is finally made in a following clause."'

Example: 

1. 오랜 방황 끝에 고향으로 돌아왔습니다.

 After wandering for a long time, I came back to my hometown.

2. 세 시간 고른 끝에 마음에 드는 것을 찾았습니다.
After browsing for three hours, I finally found something I liked.

3. 오랫동안 참고 기다리던 끝에 원하던 대답을 들을 수 있었습니다.
After waiting for a long time, I heard the answer I longed for.

4. 고민 끝에 수술을 받기로 했어요.

After much deliberation, I decided to have surgery.

5. 고생 끝에 낙이 온다는 말도 있잖아요.

There is a saying that happiness comes at the end of hardship.

6. 부모님을 오랫동안 설득한 끝에 허락을 받았아요.

After convincing my parents for a long time, they gave their permission.
