- 에 의하면

→ If the verb '의하다' meaning '의거하다' is used as a form of '-에 의하면,' it is based on a preceding noun or on itself. The expression means 'if according to' 'if on the basis of... Thus, the preceding nouns denoting speech, media, or information are used with the expression above, and the latter part is usually added as the form of indirect quotations form.

Example: 

1. 교통 안내 방송에 의하면 지금 시내 도로가 많이 막힌대요.
     According to the traffic cast, the downtown roads are crowded at this moment.

2. 대사관 직원 말에 의하면 비자가 나오는 데 1주일 정도 걸린대요.
    According to the embassy's staff, it will take one week to get my visa.

3.내 짐작에 의하면 사장님이 이번 일은 그냥 지나가지 않을 것 같아요.
    I suppose our boss won't let this slide. 

4. 이 신문 기사에 의하면 올해는 경기가 좀 나아질 거래요.

    According to this newspaper article, things will get better this year.

5. 안내 방송에 의하면 두시간 쉬고 출발한대요.

    According to the information broadcast, they take a two-hour break before leaving.

6. 일기 예보에 의하면 내일 오전에는 비가 오다가 오후에 차차 갤 거개요.

    According to the weather forecast, it will rain tomorrow morning and clear up in the afternoon.
