- (으)ㄴ지 모르겠다
→ It is a form of combining a connective ending'-(으)ㄴ지/는지/었는지/(으)ㄹ지(refer to Intermediate 1. Lesson 4)' to change an interrogative sentence to a noun clause with '모르겠다.' It indicates a speaker's wish or his/her concern. The preceding predicate can be what the speaker wants as usual.
Example:
1. 재영이가 전학 간 학교에서 적응을 잘하고 있는지 모르겠네요.
I am concerned that Jaeyeong is not getting used to his new school.
2. 어제 운동회 때 애들이 무리했는데 병이 나지 않았는지 모르겠어요.
I am concerned that the children are getting sick because they played too much yesterday.
3. 내년 사업이 계획대로 잘 될지 걱정이 돼요.
I am concerned that next year's business will not go as planned.
4. 지금 출발하면 제시간에 도착할 수 있을 지 모르겠어요.
I don't know if I'll be able to arrive on time if I leave now.
5. 요즘 할아버지 건강이 관찮으신 지 모르겠어요.
I don't know if Grandpa's health is okay these days.
6. 그 이야기를 듣고 사장님이 화를 내실 지 모르겠어요.
I don't know if the boss will be angry after hearing that story.
